Canpotex is withdrawing all offers for new sales following the resumption of strike activity at the Port of Vancouver and continued loss of export capacity at Neptune Terminals, and will not make any new offers until there is greater clarity on supply chain predictability through the Port of Vancouver. Approximately 70% of all Canpotex potash exports are handled by Neptune Terminals annually.

This donation is in response to the troubling statistics revealing that one in five children in Saskatchewan are experiencing poverty and 41% of people relying on SFBLC emergency food hampers are children.
Canpotex has reached an agreement with China’s potash buying committee for standard grade potash shipments through to December 31, 2023, at a price of US$307/MT on a CFR basis.

Last week, a failure occurred on a conveyor at Canpotex’s Portland Bulk Terminal. There were no injuries to people or impacts to the environment. Canpotex is assessing the damage and all potash loading at the terminal is curtailed until the conveyor can be repaired. It is expected that the impact to volumes can be largely mitigated by redirecting product to other ports in North America, with impact on costs being assessed.
Canpotex has agreed to a potash supply contract with its long-term customer, Indian Potash Limited (IPL) for potash shipments through to September 30, 2023, at a price of US$422/MT on a CFR basis.

HAMILTON, ON — Canpotex Limited is investing in its world-class supply chain to increase its efficiency, reliability, and safety by acquiring 1,300 custom railcars from National Steel Car (NSC) in Hamilton, Ontario. These new custom railcars from NSC will be added to Canpotex’s fleet of existing railcars, increasing the total fleet to 8,000 cars by June 2023.

Thursday, October 6th, 2022 at 9:00 AM the event kicked off with speeches from Laurie, Executive Director at the SFBLC, and Gordon McKenzie, CEO of Canpotex. The total amount raised for Milk Month this year is $126,966.62.
